Isn't this kid cute. We are just so in love with him. He is such an easy going little guy. He never complains and is always making us happy with his smile and contagious laugh. He will be 5 months in a couple days. Can't believe how fast that time has gone! Ty is a little fatty though. At his 4 month appointment he was 21 lbs. 10 ounces. He is SOOOO heavy. I don't know how much longer i can carry his car seat around.

Our new addition....

I am the worst blogger ever. Just scroll down a bit and you will find were I blogged about the birth of our last baby. (not that it was that long ago!!) Yes, we had another one. Another cute boy and we are in love!!!

Ty Steven Volmer was born on January 20th at 10:39 a.m. via C-section. He weighed 12 lbs. 15 1/2 oz. and was 22 inches long. ( why didn't they just round up 1/2 oz to make it 13? They didn't weigh him till he was almost an hour old and he even pooped and peed before they weighed him. They didn't have any diapers that would fit him, and finally some nurse found a pack of 3's. So he wore 3's while there. We knew he would be big, like our other kids, but we never imagined he could be bigger than Eliza. (weighing 11lbs. 6 oz.) He was a pound and a half bigger!! I was completely miserable at the end and HUGE!! Ask anyone. Of course I got the twins comments, the "you must be due anyday" when I was only 6 months, but really I was way bigger than with my other two.

He is such a sweet and good baby and is so calm even when his sister and brother are beating him over the head with some toy. They both love to kiss him and Eliza is already wanting to change his diaper, read to him, and "feed" him. Here are a few pictures of his birth day...

The night before going in. (This picture really doesn't show how big I really was.)

Our first picture with him.
Poor baby had to have an iv for a few days due to some minor breathing problems.
The gang minus a dreadful looking momma.

All ready to go home in his 3-6 month outfit!!

Grandma.....

I stole this post from my sister Jill's Blog. I wanted to write something about our weekend, but for some reason, can never say it as good as Jill.

Did you know I'm Mormon? Well, I am. My mom wasn't raised Mormon or "LDS". She converted when she was 19.

My maternal grandpa thought our church was a "business". My mom was married to my dad in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Her parents were not there.

My mom's brother, uncle Jim, was around when the first three nieces were born. (Me and my sisters) Shortly after my brother was born my uncle received a pamphlet about overpopulating the Earth.

My mom took his chance of having children by having 5, or so he thought.

That pamphlet put the idea into his head that severed our relationship.

Just before my Grandma died in October, he started coming around and being friendly. We just met in Spokane this last weekend to spread Grandma's ashes.

This is Uncle Jim now. Shown with Erin's first, Eliza.

If anyone can unite a family, it's definitely Eliza!

We chose to spread Grandma's ashes along one of the trails she hiked. She was an avid hiker and her hiking group actually made an award with a pair of her most used hiking shoes. They had holes everywhere.
Grandma had such a reverence for fun. Kids are supposed to have FUN!! I love the stories of my mom's childhood because they include memories of traveling out of the country and floating down rivers. In her memory, I will try to seek tranquil, outdoor freshness and remember that fun memories will always take precedence over sad ones.

Here's to Grandma. Here's to FUN!!

Thanks Jill for your thoughts. It was such a fun weekend and good to remember Grandma and what she loved most!!

We have a crawler!!!

Yesterday Justin started crawling!! He never really scooted, or army crawled, just rolled around a little so we are so surprised at this milestone. I don't know if this is a good thing, but at least now he can get away from his sister a little faster!
